52nd SEA HORSE INSTITUTE MEETING                     August 12-16, 2001, Myrtle Beach, SC

Regardless of position, individuals involved with ocean and coastal engineering, from sailing on the high seas to plant operation drawing seawater coolant, need to recognize the problems caused by marine corrosion and the means by which to solve these problems.

Over the years, attendees have found new insight solutions to their marine corrosion problems from the discussions held at the SEA HORSE INSTITUTE meetings. The knowledge gained and the solutions learned have proven to be an economic benefit to companies by avoiding future failures and reducing life cycle costs.

The SEA HORSE INSTITUTE, sponsored by LaQue Center for Corrosion Technology, Inc., brings together engineers, scientists, technicians and maintenance personnel, plant managers, and many others to share their knowledge and years of experience.

Meeting Format

"A forum for open dialogue on marine corrosion problems and their solutions."

Attendees are encouraged to make brief information presentations and to ask questions. Bring your slides and overheads. Formal presentations are neither solicited nor permitted. There are no published preprints or proceedings of the meeting.

The LaQue Center offers corrosion services and specializes in contract corrosion testing, consulting, research and training. Visit our web site for a complete listing of services offered. Additional Sea Horse Institute meeting information will be posted periodically.
